The motel and dining room are open on a year round basis.
The dining room hours are 7 am to 10 pm
(summer) and 8am-8pm (winter).
Room rates are very affordable at:
-$80 for a single with one bed;
-$90 for a room with two beds; and $100 for a housekeeping unit.
-There is a $10.00 surcharge for each additional person.
In addition to the comfortable well-appointed forty-six seat dining room, a sixteen-seat enclosed patio is available for customers to enjoy. Both dining areas are served by a friendly, courteous staff that have been with the last Portfor many years.
The dining room menu features local favourites, hearty home-made soups, a wide variety of North American favourites and is known widely for its fish & chips. Kitchen staff are led and supervised under the watchful eye of Mary Jean Hanhams who is also responsible for creating many of the dining room menu items.
The reception area for the motel is conveniently located in the south-west corner of the dining room to eliminate the requirement for separate staffing. Guests can purchase chocolate bars, gum, newspapers and essentials at reception.
